Katie Newnam is a Round Rock native who earned her Master of Arts Degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2001. Following graduation, Katie spent over twenty-five years serving a large-scale active adult community in the areas of Administration and Human Resources. During that time, Katie earned two prestigious Community Manager of the Year awards from the Community Association Institute’s (CAI) local Austin Chapter, where she also volunteered as the secretary for their Board of Directors. In 2011, Katie earned her Professional Community Association Manager accreditation through CAI, joining an elite group of only 3,500 people who have earned this in the entire country. Katie’s compassion for people and desire to serve led her career path to The Law Office of Kara Borchers Jones where she serves as a legal assistant and office manager.

Katie continues to reside in Round Rock with her husband, two children and family dog. In her free time, she enjoys watching her children’s sports activities, cooking, gardening and reading.
